Enterprise Services offers youth meaningful, hands-on job experiences

Our paid on-the-job training is in one of three businesses owned and operated by Youth Opportunities Unlimited. The businesses operate under the banner YOU Made It.

YOU Made It Businesses

Kitchen and Kiosk

At the kitchen you will help produce Market Quality Preserves our line of quality jams, jellies, salsas, BBQ sauces and rubs. You will work as part of a youth team and be trained by our accredited chef. At the retail kiosk at Covent Garden Market you will be part of a retail team merchandising and selling Market Quality Preserves and designing and assembling gift baskets.

Woodshop

Under the supervision of an experienced carpenter, you will learn the stages of wood furniture production from raw wood to finished product and be part of a youth team manufacturing wooden furniture for the outdoors. You will be trained in the principles of woodworking from basic to advanced. You will learn the proper use of tools and machinery, tool and machine maintenance, selection of wood and much more.

Recycling

At our recycling facility you are trained to operate several types of workstations that process recycled materials. And you will learn job skills for the growing 'green' economy. The 6,000 square foot facility is Ministry of Environment approved and has a compactor/baler, shredder, granulator, fork lift and truck.
