Come on London, Put a 'Cap' on Youth Homelessness

Youth Opportunities Unlimited (YOU) asks all Londoners to show they care about finding solutions to youth homelessness by purchasing Raising the Roof toques from YOU.

Each year YOU provides services and programs to more than 3,600 local youth. At the Youth Action Centre, a program of YOU, local youth between 16 and 24 are provided with;

• Basic needs
• Meals
• Food Bank services on the 15th of every month
• A place youth go to feel safe and leave life on the streets
• Informal counseling and community referrals
• Housing supports
• Involvement in peer mentorship programs

YOU's goal is to sell 800 toques. Every toque sold supports solutions to youth homelessness in our community.

• 1 toque - provides two hot meals
• 10 toques - provide life skills program materials for one youth
• 100 toques - support street outreach and emergency survival kits for 20 homeless youth
• 200 toques - support one month in a workplace program or a transitional housing and support facility

Toques are $10 each and available now from YOU. Proceeds from sales are shared by Raising the Roof and YOU. The national campaign, now in its 15th year, is Canada’s only national homelessness charity dedicated to long-term solutions to homelessness. National campaign partners are Intact Financial Corporation and Canadian Traffic Network (CTN).
