Position Description

These positions are suited to a post secondary student with one or two years of Customer Service, and/or Sales, and/or Administrative experience. The incumbent will aide in the administration of the Summer Jobs For Youth and Summer Jobs Service programs. The Summer Jobs Service Program provides a $2.00 / hour wage subsidy to organisations that hire students 15-24 years of age, up to 29 with a registered disability. The Summer Jobs For Youth Program provides placement services and support for youth, 15-18 years of age. The Summer Jobs For Youth program aims to serve youth in target neighbourhoods in London by providing fully funded employment.

Qualifications

Excellent Customer Services abilities working with youth, organisations, members of the community and schools
Presentation and public speaking skills are a necessity for workshop facilitation
Academic and/or personal interest in social services and community development
Courteous and professional manner when responding to high volumes of telephone calls and e-mails
Computer skills including proficiency in the use of MS Office applications
Able to work in a fast passed environment where there is a very large volume of financial information and telephone calls
Ability to manage multiple tasks with changing deadlines
Self-organised team member participating in the coordination / receipt of confidential documents from off site partners
Relationship management / development
Access to reliable vehicle is requested and essential for youth outreach activities and employer site visits
Flexible to work varied hours and weekends as needed
